In Memoriam 1956-2019
Lee Ann Mayberry Sanderson was a devoted daughter, granddaughter, wife and mother. After her husband, Rick Sanderson, died of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, she devoted a lot of her time to oncology patients. In June 2012, a stroke changed Mayberry’s life forever. She moved back home to Centerville after living in Atlanta. She immediately looked for a “cause” to support and chose Historic Downtown Centerville, Inc. (HDC, Inc.). As a fundraising project for HDC, Inc., she wrote and produced the play “Murder, Misquoted” and also wrote the book Coon Dogs and Buttermilk-Stories from Hickman County, Tennessee. She continued writing and published her first novel Homeward Bound through Twoney. Other books by Mayberry include A Far Cry from Twomey, Redeeming Katie Ann, Cornbread and Potlikker-More Amazing Stories from Hickman Country, as well as many short stories. Lee Ann Mayberry Sanderson passed away unexpectedly in 2019. |
